This lovely pendant of the Crucifix of St. Benedict measures 1.25" long and 1.75" tall and comes with a lovely 18" long chain. It can be used for protection against evil, safety for mothers while giving birth, for conversion of sinners, and many other things.
On it are Latin words. Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti translates to "Cross of the Holy Father Benedict." Ejus in obitu nro praesentia muniamur means "May we at our death be fortified by his presence." On the back of the medal, the letters C. S. S. M. L. - N. D. S. M. D. stand for Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux, meaning "The Holy Cross be my light." Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux translate to "Let not the dragon [Satan] be my guide." The letters C S P B stand for Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti, meaning "Cross of the Holy Father Benedict." The initials V R S N S M V - S M Q L I V B stand for Vade Retro Satana, Nunquam Suade Mihi Vana—Sunt Mala Quae Libas, Ipse Venena Bibas, which means "Step back, Satan, do not suggest to me thy vanities—evil are the things thou profferest, drink thou thy own poison," while Pax means "Peace."
