On February 11, 1858, Our Lady our Lourdes first appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous. This "beautiful lady" would not tell St. Bernadette who she was until last time they met, she reveled herself to be the Immaculate Conception. St. Bernadette told her Bishop, who told the Pope. The Pope took this as a miracle from God, as he and his bishops were discerning if Mary had been conceived without sin or not. This is considered to be a miracle because no one except the Pope and his bishops at that time knew the term "Immaculate Conception."
This statue of Our Lady of Lourdes stands 11'' tall.
