This crucifix portrays Jesus with John the Evangelist to the right of Him, Mary to the left of Him, St. Francis of Assisi above Him, and St. Anthony of Padua at the bottom of Him. A follower of Orcagna was the original designer of the crucifix and created it in the 14th century. Misericordia is Latin for "mercy," meaning this crucifix is a representation of Jesus' mercy for the world. It is made from good quality resin and stone and measures 14.5" tall and 10.75" long.
